Perfect Permanent Eyebrows
Just because they're the brows you were born with doesn't mean you have to be stuck with them. From a beauty point of view, there are eyebrow shapes that are right for your face and ones that are downright unflattering.
The wrong eyebrows can make you look tired, sad, startled, anxious, or just plain drab. The correct brows can brighten and widen your eyes and balance the entire shape of your face.
Are Your Eyebrows RIGHT for YOUR FACE?
In his book "Forever Beautiful With Rex", the acclaimed Hollywood makeup genius declares that "the true face framers are the chin and brow line". He goes on to proclaim that the eyebrows are "focal points in a new approach to makeup."
For many women eyebrows are the single most important yet most frequently overlooked aspect of their appearance.
As a permanent makeup instructor and practitioner, I have found that just the slightest change in one's brow line can make a dramatic difference in one's overall attractiveness. Curved eyebrows, for example, can soften an angular face, while subtly raising the brow line can instantly create a more youthful look.
How to Find Your Perfect Brow Line
Eyebrow Shapes
For most people, the brow line should start at the point directly above the inside corner of the eye. (Exception: a face that is too wide can be slimmed down by bringing the brows closer together. )
Where the brow line should end however varies depending on the shape of the face:
For a round face shape the brow ends should point toward the top of the ears to draw attention away from the fullness of the cheeks.
An oval face requires the end to point down toward the earlobe so it follows the curve of the face and accenturates the oval.
A square face should have the end shape down towards the midear to cut the broad part of the face in half.
Tecniques and Textures
Besides choosing the right shape for your face, it is also important to choose the correct tecnique of application. your eyebrowstexture. By tecnique I'm referring to one of three options, and each creates a different effect by creating brows with different textures.
The first technique is shading. This is the fastest and simplest technique, and for many people it is quite satisfactory.
Another technique involves tattooing the brows in hair by hair, which is called hair strokes. For thin brows the hair stroke effect will look more natural.
A third option is to use a combination of shading and the hair stroke effect.
