Ask Ann
Will it hurt?
No. Two topical anesthetics are used, one before the procedure and one during the procedure.
Might I be allergic to the pigments?
You will be allergy tested before we begin, but the chances of you being allergic are unlikely. l use natural, non-irritating pigments and so far, I have never encountered an allergic reaction in anyone.
Is there downtime after a procedure?
You may experience slight swelling or redness which will subside quickly. You can however resume normal activity immediately.
What if I'm not pleased?
Every client is seen twice. A follow up visit is included in the fee. At that time we critique what was initially done and, if needed, we can add color or make changes.
Can I see what it will look like before we proceed?
I can show you what it will look like by drawing on your skin with a surgical marker. Or, if you prefer, YOU can use the surgical marker to show me what you want.
Is there a choice of colors?
Yes, I assist in color selection according to ones skin undertones. This is extremely important to avoid color change later on.
How long will it last?
In most cases it should last seven to ten years. A touch up will help to rejuvenate the color after that time.
What makes it safe?
We use disposable one-time single use needles AND disposable one-time single use color tubes. In addition, we practice Universal Precautions as set by the Center for Disease Control.
